-Install a new clutch at the same time
-Get new flywheel and pressure plate bolts
-Definietely get a load leveler for your engine hoist
-You may need to unbolt the subframe a bit to give you enough clearance to slide the tranny out of the way
-You probably won't have to, but getting the axles out of the tranny is a huge pain

do you think a transmission jack can replace the engine hoist?
and is it really necessary to unbolt the subframe?
because where I will be to work on this I will have 1-2 friends and more then 1 transmission jack

I put in a fidanza flywheel in my echo this winter.
Replace the clutch housing, clutch and throw-out bearing.
I pulled the drive shafts ; not that hard when you figure out where to pry from.
I had to lower the sub-frame; I tried, but couldn't find a way around that.
I used a cut up office chair and car jack as my transmission jack. Not ideal but it worked.
I used the front strut bar and garage rafters as an engine hoist. Again crude, but it worked.
