Additional roof led light

I bought this led light to install as additional roof light

How i will tap to works like oem.
I mean if i open the door, lights turn on


The red wire from light panel, if i conected to to blue wire on switch its allways on.

If i tap the red wire on white/Black strip, no turn on

You need to test out what the wires on your LEDs do.
You have three wires: blue, red and black. I assume black is ground.
When the red wire is connected to a power source, what happens to the LED?
When the blue wire is connected to a power source, what happens to the LED?

You'll also have to test the wires on the plug with a test light or probe.
Also test when the dome light is in the ON, as well as the DOOR position.
From there, you can determine how to hook up your LED.

Black and red from panel to Black and blue from switch.. Turn on.

Black and blue from panel to Black and blue.. Nothing

Black and blue from panel to Black and white Black strip... Nothing

That's not what I meant.

You need to use a test light and/or probe and tap into your plug to find out what wires are hot and what ones are ground.

Then on your LED, test the wires to see what happens to the LED when connected to the red or blue wires. If your LEDs came with an information sheet, that would help as well.

With door closed.
White wire on switch, no light in test light.

Blue wire turn on, in test light.
Black wire turn on, in test light


Open door.
White wire on switch, no light in test light.

Blue wire turn on, in test light.
Black wire no light in test light

@Eduardo_mty, did you manage to get this working? I've got a MkIII Yaris in Australia and trying to do something similar to what you're doing, by tapping the front map light assembly, but not having much luck...
