Enkei RZ5 wheels on Liftback

Hi.
I just ordered 15" Enkei RZ5 (silver/grey) wheels with Kelly Navigator Platinum TE tires for my ’07 silver liftback. Belle Tire Company, here in the Detroit area told me the ride would be fine, and perhaps better than what I've got now with the base 14" tires with this combo. Is the ride better with a slightly larger tire, or negligible?
Just wondering if anyone else out there has this Enkei wheel, or perhaps photos of them on the car. I'm too old for a tuner with giant wheels and tires, and the rough ride that can go along with them. I just wanted to upgrade the look and ride a bit. I also would like to keep these wheels on all winter, though I will chemically protect the hell out of them, and keep them clean. Also are curb feelers cool for this car, or a stupid idea? I'm careful, but I don't want to scratch the new wheels.
Thoughts? Opinions? Comments? Sarcastic insults?

Curb Feelers are so 30 years ago. Our Yaris has the 15" steel wheels, and I can tell you, it feels a lot more solid in turns than the non-convenience 14" wheel Yaris I also test drove, and the ride is just fine, I'm sure the Enkeis will be great.

Curb feelers vs. damaged rims

Any other ideas for avoiding rim damage on alloy wheels?
You can still purchase curb feelers. Other than caution, are there any options?

I've never had any problems keeping from damaging my alloy rims, I've only ever been cautious.
