Yaris a bad first date car?

The question is inspired by the sight of Yaris (worst of all, specifically a 3-door!) on this list on Autoblog: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/10-wo...-cars/1186658/

Then again, the list does end with Ferrari 599 GTB... But does the Yaris really belong on that list? Any comments, personal experience? Which cars not mentioned there should be on the list?

People who say that a yaris is a bad first date car's are obviously dating for the wrong reason.

I myself however choose girls who like me for me, Call me crazy.

Making fun of other people's cars because there stereotypically not a babe magnet is just low, rude and pointless.

First impressions are important. For me I took my dog on the first date. I was able to marry someone who I considered way out of my league.

I don't have any problems with mine.

People that make fun of my car only prove to me how narrow minded some people are.

[insert various rant of your choice about conservatives and republicans and the auto industry and hummers and oil]

Being female, I don't think THE car has ever mattered to me. It's more how the car is kept. Doesn't have to be immaculate, but should be neat. I don't want to have to push cans, bottles and hamburger wrappers out of the way to get in the car. A truly confident, successful man doesn't need a "hot" or expensive car. Be polite, be courteous, open doors for us, tell us about you and what is important to you.

Also, we notice the little things you do. For example, when he came to pick me up I was listening to music, when we got in the car he switched the radio to what I liked. He was paying attention, I noticed. I married him by the way.

Tell her it costs $13 and change to fill and you can use all that extra money you saved to take her to dinner. She will love the Yaris.

Yeah, the car has never been important to me? I dunno....Sean had a Subaru WRX and he's an ass.

I agree...clean up the car so she doesn't have to sit on empty water bottles and if she cares THAT much about what kind of car you drive then I say she's not worth dating.

IMO depends on what kind of girl it is. If it's a nice girl you would bring home to your family it's a good car cuz it shows you are responsible and not trying to be flashy. As long as the car doesn't look like crap your good.

Now if you're trying to pick up those girls who will bang anything that has money, then its the wrong car. When i had my z all it attracted were sluts and underage girls. Whatever floats your boat but if she doesn't like me cuz of my car she can take a hike.

So long as your Yaris does not have a cracked windshield in front of her face, torn passenger seat, and a hole in the floor below her feet, she should not care.

"It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it" -Austin Powers

Any girl that barely knows you and who doesn't like you for ANY small, stupid reason isn't worth dating. If she doesn't like you now, she's more prone to hating your guts later as your GF.

A decent girl won't care what you drive or what else you have, just as long as you can show her that you can take care of your stuff and keep things in order. If you can keep your things "man clean", she shouldn't have a problem with you.

If she ever starts complaining about your car (or anything else), just pull over and say something like "Well, you don't have to ride in it if you don't want to. Hit the sidewalk, bitch..."

Edit: Noticed that the writer of that article never really mention the list of "GOOD first date cars". Whiner alert!

I wouldn't take a date out in my car. I'd use my truck.

I don't think so. In fact, the LB can actually be very romantic for a date. Take your date to a drive-in movie, lift the hatch, put some blankets/comforters and pillows in the back (with the rear seats down), and voi-la, you have a nice, cozy, romantic theater. Just don't forget the food.
