Replaced HU is there any mod

I just replaced my Head unit in my 2003 Yaris with a Pioneer stereo, but is it possible to replace the top display with the mileage info etc...?

I mean replace it with something else fancy?

Put a scangauge. In Canada, we don't have a display there. Instead, we get a little cubby and it's perfect spot for adding a scangauge.

Not to hijack a thread but what does a scangauge do that an obd Bluetooth adapter and the torque app can't? It's like $30 all in for the adapter and app. Almost no installation, and your phone is most likely much easier to read than that little scangauge screen.

It also does the job. Some people like physical buttons and display. I don't really like using the Bluetooth module with torque as it interferes with my audio streaming. Either audio cuts or torque lags.

Good point about the audio streaming. Never thought of that!
