I've always been one to fill back up somewhere between 1/4 & 1/2 tank. I don't like the thought of running out of gas while trying to make my getaway.

I never understood the "sucking the sediment from the bottom of the tank" arguement. It's not like the pump follows the fuel level and sucks from the top of the tank. Doesn't it always suck from the bottom of the tank?!?.....but I've been wrong before.

Running always low might be bad for the fuel pump.
Water sinks in the tank, so sucking up water from condensation in the tank is not a valid point, and sediments are filtered before going into the fuel line... I usually fill when it's around 1/4 or when I know I won't have enough range to do my business. Else, it gets down to E.
