Another project

Got a cracked front bumper and wanna fix it up a bit. What the auto zone worker suggested was sand til smooth, then bondo, then sand, then paint. Any better ideas? The bondo instructions are sand down to metal, however, my bumper isn't metal. Is there a better product?

Bondo will work on your fender depending on the crack u may need to buy the Mesh(sold at checker or auto zone) and u put it down on the back of the crack so that u can form over the crack. But than again depenidng on crack size u might be better off buying a small fiberglass pack than fiberglassing over the crack, bondo that, sand it down smooth, primer bumper, and so on till its looks new....or use this cracked bumpern as an excuse to buy a new JDM front bumper

Take a picture of how bad the crack is. I've used tie straps to hold together a cracked bumper before. Just need to drill a bunch of holes on either side of the crack and "stitch" it together.

I'll try to put some pics up of it in about 3 hours. Gonna work on it today. Any suggestions as to what grit sandpaper to start out with and then what grit fine sandpaper for the finish? The crack is from fog light, almost up to headlight. It has very rough edges. A trucks tow hitch went into it.

80 then 300 then 1000 is what I'd go with. That fiberglass bondo stuff is good. Works really well for all sorts of stuff.
