Yaris Support bar on ebay

What do you guys think of these? They seem to be reasonably priced and crafted (from looking at the photos anyway.) I have seen the braces from C-ONE and they seem to offer more support. Would these be worth the savings for stiffening the chassis up, or not.

??????

In my experience, a strut brace is a strut brace and a tie bar is a tie bar. All of the braces and tie bars on my Civic were purchased from eBay, and the most expensive one was $25- that car was an SCCA Solo2 regional finalist 3 years in a row. I'll pay big bucks for a nice sway bar set, but not for braces- hell, I'll probably make the braces for my Yaris. You can buy the ends and piping from Summit racing for cheap.

I went ahead and placed a $9.99 bid for the rear bar... Figure for 30 bucks I won't be out much if it works or not. I'll let ya all know if I win or not.

I've thought about putting these on but have never messed around with braces like these. I have a couple of quesions. Does it stiffen the chassis that much? How noticeable is it compared to a strut tower bar??

I don't think this one does a whole lot, looks to be about 15-18 inches long

I'm hoping that combined with all my other current/future chassis stiffening and suspension mods it will help. I don't expect much for $30 bucks but maybe combined, it will help. At least I wasn't a guinea pig for the zenn springs I can't afford to do lump upgrades, but I can afford a little here and a little there. I saw a really nice setup for the front I like and I will probably get that from cusco or C-ONE. Like I say, for $30 I don't mind being a tester for everyone else. If I win, I'll let everyone know if it was a miracle breakthough or not, lol.

from what ive researched (cusco,tanabe,c-one,etc) those bars look like shit. the one looks too small to be any effective and the front one only bolts on in two places compared to other ive seen that uses 4 bolts. i also have used "ebay" bars on my civic hatch and the only reason was they were cheap. i think with my yaris i will not be using "NO NAME " brands as the products look inferior for my tastes....

The bar is probably of fine quality.

Just like with a strut bar, you won't notice any difference. In the front a 4 point brace would probably be more effective. If you get them cheap enough, go for it.

What you will feel a difference from is fender braces. We need some of those.

None. You won't notice a strut bar on a street car.

With a rear beam like we already have, what is going to be moving down there? The bottom will not twist do to the beam... If it were in your trunk connecting the struts I woulod say go for it... Kinda a waste of $30 if you ask me...

Yea, you are the 1 in 100,000 that would actually notice the .1 % difference on a car with relatively no other mods.

It is a waste to spend money on "Name brands" for parts like this. They are all basically the same.
