How much did you pay for tinted windows on your Yaris?

How much did you pay for tinted windows on your Yaris? What type of tint did you have installed?

A 5-Star-rated tint shop here in Phoenix, AZ quoted me $500 for sides/back and $200 for front windshield, on my 2015 Yaris, using 3M Crystalline 40 tint (sides/back) and 3M Crystalline 10 Tint (front windshield). It looks like the tint that I want will cost me about as much as some new 16" alloy wheels (which is next on list after tinting).

Also, 3M protective film on the front headlight housings was quoted at $75.

I don't know about 3M Crystalline 40 tint, but most shops out here use good urethane tint and will do a car like ours for $120-$140. I've had 15% on for the 8 yrs I've had the car and it looks the same as the day it was put on with no interior fading happening. The quote of $700 seems outrageous, in my opinion.

From around here people generally pay $200-250 at well known shops and i'm up in the great white North. I plan on doing it this winter and will be looking for that price range

Yup that's pretty much the price here around Montreal and next to me Eastern Ontario. Yaris was $250.

My Audi Avant cost me $300, both sides 3 windows each and rear. Second year both Yaris and Avant looks A1.

5 Star rated? Pfffffff yeah I don't go for that bull crap. I asked around my place and it ended up being a guy who does it on the side the past 10 years with zero recalls.

yeah... $700 seems a little high. I think I paid about $250 for the four sides and hatch. I don't know if the place I went to would do windshields.

I had it done in 2010 so I don't know if they had ceramic tint back then. But it was the best stuff they had. Came with a lifetime warranty and I haven't had any problems with it.

One thing you might try is to visit your local car dealership mall where they sell higher end cars. Dealers often get the new cars tinted as a way to mark-up their new cars. Ask those dealers where they take their cars.

Something like $35 -- DIY kit off eBay. Not nearly perfect install, but good enough for me. Watch lots of Youtube how-to videos, especially on shrinking (back as well as door windows) first!

I paid around $180 for my 3dr hatch with 20% all over. I called around and went to the cheapest place.

$700 is extreme... I paid $120 on my yaris and it's been for eight years with no fading/bubbling. Look elsewhere.

With a quick search, check these guys out and see what their prices are.

They have great reviews and I'd be amazed if both of them charged anywhere near that amount.
