Tips for more stability
Hello everyone!
Ever since I bought my 2011 yaris sedan 6 months ago I've been noticing that at highway speeds 65-70mph that the car gets a bit wobly due to strong crosswinds. Its nothing serious but it bother me a bit especially on long drives. What mod can I add to my sedan to reduce this condition? I was thinking about the rear sway bar but not sure if there is anything else I'm missing. Thanks!

Find an old VW Beetle like maybe a 1969 model.
Take that out for a 75 mph romp in a crosswind that makes you nervous in your Yaris. After that, the Yaris will seem so much better you'll be happy! Assuming the VW doesnt kill you!

There have been comments/threads stating that adding vortex generators to various parts of the car (may) assist with high speed stability.

Rear sway bar yes. First and foremost.
Lower stiffer springs with better dampers. Different tires. Tread pattern has been proven to have an effect on stability. Vortex generators on this thing, questionable. Has primarily been done for cosmetics and reducing dirt deposits on rear window.

That's exactly why I put "may" and it all does depend on proper placement, I'm sure improper placement can make matters worse overall.

I experimented with the rear anti-sway bar and with different tread patterns... and I found that the tread pattern is the single most important mod to reduce or completely eliminate highway wander. With my last 2 sets of tyres, I have zero highway wander... with no anti-sway bar.
