Can anyone tell me more about sound quality of this radio and if there's an output for a sub base. Thank's.

There is suposed to be a subwoofer add-on in development. The stereo does not have a sub out in a traditional sense, but rather a plug that will plug into the back of the stereo from the "Toyota Accessory" subwoofer. Someone electronically inclined might however be able to wire something aftermarket into the same location. I would be curious about this for sure as I really do not feel like waiting for the Toyota accessory department.

My friend at an auto sound/security shop mentioned to me that there are aftermarket/third party adapters that allow a stock/OEM factory head unit to be connected to an AMPLIFIER for usage with a subwoofer!

I'll get more information as I'm planning on installing an amp and sub before replacing the deck, as I'm looking for a suitable double DIN unit to use in the Yaris.

I think that the stock deck would get drowned out by a sub. It isnt very powerful. Right now I have replaced the deck, but left the stock speakers and that has made a world of difference.

I definately going to replace the deck, but I haven't decided what else I am going to do yet.

It mostly depends on how much money I am in the mood to spend.

hey I havent got the system as of yet but I have put down a deposit down for a LC6. This allows for the the head units wires to be converted to RCA outputs. It is also a preamp so no power will be lost from the head unit to the two amps and it is a Hi to Lo level converter. I am getting a mono block for the subs and a 4 channel for the speakers.

I want to try and keep the 4 speakers in the hatch standard (hopefully they will be clearer after the bass has been drawn out of them)
