Flip Out Key?

I thought I seen it here but I can't find it. Anyone know where to find it at? I'm talking about the key that flips out like the VW'S

I found this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KEYLE...spagenameZWDVW
Has anyone tried this before?

Don't we have a chip in our keys? We would have a hell of a time trying to get this to work. Theres directions on that key on how to actually take your key apart and "install" it in the flip device.

I don't have the factory key less so I don't think I have the chip. That key says it has space for you to place the chip inside. The key looks really cool I guess you dremel your key and install it. I really want to give this a try I guess ill have to be the test dumby :)

I have the factory keyless but i also have 2 "regular type keys without the keyless entry. one is a valet key the other is a normatl key. Whether or not those 2 have a chip in them, i have no idea. I wnat to get one that I can use with my factory keyless entry.

Yeah I seen those, they don't have key less and they are pretty cheap looking IMO. Does anyone know what type of door locks we have in the yaris

# Positive Door Locks 0.5sec.
# Negative Door Locks 0.5sec.
# Vacuum Door Locks 3.5sec.
# Reverse Polarity Door Locks.
# Single Wire Door Locks (Extra Parts Needed).
# 5-Wire Door Locks (Extra Parts Needed).

There's no chip in the key whatsoever if you bought your yaris (any model) in north america.
it's just as simple as that.

although, there's an option that can be installed at the dealer.. it's a KEY RECOGNIZER.. so as long as it's a key that starts the car.. it will start.. ie, you can't hot wire your car if your key is broken or something... :)

i hope you guys don't doubt me, and tell me that some guy or other guy said that blah blah :P

people are confusing things...

some foreign market cars, DO have a transponder key..

North america, doesn't have a transponder key..

people with-out keyless entry, don't have to worry about which type lock we have, its just a regular key..

people with keyless entry will have to figure out a way to remove the guts from there key, and place them in the switchblade key housing.

I have got the same one that is on the ebay link and Jerkratt does also. It is the same seller I got mine from also and they work in the Yaris and there is no chip and you do not need one. Just buy the key and go have it cut by the dealership. I just took my stock key in there with the flip out one and they cut it for free. I would go to the dealership to have it done. You dont want someone messing up your $35 key.

I want one that you can use with the keyless entry. I can't be bothered by putting the key in the keyhole and actually turning the key. Thats too much work. I will be tired by the time i sit down to drive. LOL
