Replacement key for 2015 Yaris

Hey guys, been searching around for a replacement key for my 2015 yaris. The factory key has the keyless entry buttons and sensor. Since I am getting an after market viper alarm with remote start I don't need this I wanted to get a normal flat key for it. Been searching on ebay and found a few but have contacted the sellers and they say it won't work on my car. Is is because the blade is different or the chip? any ideas on where I can get one of these?
Thanks.

Most US spec Toyota 2015 use the new H key, maybe you need one like this:

Look the blade of you key fob.

In Canada, all 2015 Yaris has engine immobilizer. Am thinking in US as well? if so unless you can make the viper alarm activate or deactivate the immobilizer, you will be out of luck. good luck

I just had a non-remote key made for my 2014 today. It's a "G" blade key. For a simple flay key, the dealer wanted $125 plus $90 for programming (which I was told would take over an hour). I discovered that Ace Hardware makes flat keys for just $70, but only up to 2013 models. Luckily, I found a local mobile shop that made a key in my driveway for just $60 including programming... and it took just 10 minutes!

None of the 3 keys I got with the 2015 Yaris I just bought new have a "G" or "H" on them. I don't have keyless entry yet, but it's going back to the dealer to have it installed. Apparently it's aftermarket? They said it won't be a key transponder, it will be a separate fob like the older vehicles had. Keyless entry was a condition I put on the sale, so they said they'd do it. I guess since the car didn't come with factory keyless entry, it's got to be aftermarket.

and this is why Im really starting to hate working for a dealership..I see this all the time how jobs get over priced for what they are worth...10 min if not less to program key is right and key around 45$ ...and if only ppl would know how they get ripped off cos of flat rate .
I guess just tired of the industry

Your 15 L doesn't have keyless entry? I didn't even know they made a car that basic today.

Just bought a Yaris L, is possible to add a remote key? Is the hardware there but not activated? I'll try to login with Techstream later this week and see if I can talk to the module.

I've been trying to figure this out as well. I think if you add the receiver that you can add the keyless entry.

I also have a 2015 Yaris L. I am also curious about the keyless entry.
Could it be like cruise control? All the wiring is there, just not hooked up or not activated.

My 2012 L didn't have keyless entry. I just bought a basic Viper alarm and it came with a fob and keyless entry

Well since I bought the 2015 Yaris for my 74 yo mom, I don't think she wants remote unlock. When I handed her the keys to her new car, she said "Thank god, normal keys!" Guess I'll just log into to techtstream and make it so it's one turn to unlock and lock everything.

So are all L models without the remote or just cars that went to rental fleets? I bought my mom's from Hertz Car Sales. I couldn't pass it up, $8600 and all the other Yaris on Craigslist were 10-12K with more miles. I trust the Yaris reliabilty over the Ford Fiesta's.
