^ besides, both of us still have powertrain warranty, should something bad go down we're covered.
But I don't think anything is wrong though, the car runs like a champ.

There was a TSB for the air-intake box, requiring some foam washers.


I also just blew my serpentine belt this weekend, previous noise made me miss it (chalked it up to an imbalanced four cylinder engine design).

what is the number? I looked over that thread and didn't see anything about the air box.

I cleaned the MAF sensor and the noise softened noticeably. At this point I barely hear it. I suppose the airflow was undermeasured which resulted in different timing and more air sucked thought the intake.
My mileage was pretty bad too, seems to be improving. I also cleaned the tb a week ago, but that did not change the noise.

anyhow, the engine sounds better. if it was like that when I got the car I would not have payed any attention to it.
