crank grinding

little off topic
when you watch the videos of crankshaft grinding they usually just show the main journals
being ground. I couldnt find one where the piston journals were being turned. Are the piston journals usually stay in decent shape so they dont have to be ground?? I mean if the rod bearings take all the abuse...Are they as critical as the main journals??

Happy?

Yes the connecting rod journals need to be ground, and are as important (in not more so). If you over-rev an engine unloaded it is typically the conn rod bearings that will spin.

Cheers.

Not unusual for the mains to be fine and just the rods needing attention.
