Take it back to the dealer and have them inspect it.

Also, too much freon can make it stop working as well. If the fuses are fine, and you don't want to go back to the dealership, bleed out all the freon and put back the correct amount.

I believe almost all cars have a pressure switch that stops the compressor from running if the freon is low, this is to stop the compressor from burning up upon freon loss/low pressure.
Start the car and have someone toggle the AC on and off, you should see and hear the compressor starting and stopping. During normal use it should alternate off/on as needed to keep the AC cool, but when you first turn it on it should immediatley start. Also, on my Yaris the radiator fans come on as well, yours should too. It could be a simple as finding the pressure switch connection and wriggling or cleaning it, that has happened to me before on several other cars, either that or the switch needs cleaning or replacing, either way this is the first thing to check, especially if it was blowing cold before and then suddenly stopped. If it starting blowing less cool and then eventually stopped that would be more indicative of freon leaking. |

Did the AC work initially, and then it recently stopped blowing cold air, or did you discover it blowing hot air the first time you tried the AC?
Does the AC indicator LED light when you press the button? |

just bite the bullet and have a tech fix it... i don't know about your area, but try to check if there is a training environment in your area... they might be able to fix it for MUCH less than any other shop would... there may even be a toyota t-ten program in your area...
the reason i bring that up is because i am in the t-ten program in my area...

I have a recharge kit that has a gauge on it, which is really the only safe way to recharge one yourself. The recharge kit with the gauge was only about $10 more than one without. The correct charge for the Yaris (measured on the low pressure side, where you charge it) is 0.15 to 0.25 MPa, which equals 22 to 36 PSI. |
