Cleaned engine at local car wash burnt smell afterwards

Like the title says. I put a bag over the alternator and didn't use pressure at all. Used the degreaser they have maybe a little soap got in there? I didn't spray a specific area for a long time. Any suggestions on what the smell might be?

Maybe some of that black electrical tape got too close to the motor or the lamps? It smells really nasty when it gets burnt...
