What springs to get?

I'm being really cheap but I want to drop the car a bit before I buy coilovers. I have some bills that have to be paid firs before I commit 1500 for a good set of coilovers. Which of these 2 springs would be better on stock struts, Progress or AOE TigerTec lowering springs?

I'm going to be buying them from garm asap so help me decide

lol... that's what I'm thinking. The more money I save the better.

I just ordered the AOE TigerTec lowering springs, from the only place in town, Micro Image. These should hold me over till I can get some silk roads

i had them on a 240 and they were amazing so I trust the quality. Garm has them on his site that or I'm sure i could just contact the company. Planning on paying about 1500 give or take 100. Cusco is nice but nothing really catches my eye and hks is overpriced. You could go with bc, megan, or ksport but you loose quality and on a daily driver quality is number 1.

silk road ftw! if i were to get coilovers i wouldnt run megan or ksport anyways because ive heard to many stories of them not handling streets well/blowing out

ive personally had experience with ground control, stance, and jic and they have all held up pretty well.

Loren is running the basic Ksport package on his Yaris. I believe he has been running them for over a year. Since he bought them they have come out with their RR kit which is supposed to be a lot better.

I've had the AOE's for quite some time now and I suggest going with them. They are quite a bit firmer then a stock ride with just the right amount of drop, not too short and not slammed either. After they settle in, they are a total blast. Like I said, a bit firm but comfortable as well at the same time so no worries in that department. Nobody buys lowering springs for comfort increases anyways :)

I am also debating what springs to get.
I heard the tanabe are very bouncy, not on a yaris, but my friends g35 is very bouncy with those springs.
how are the yaris tanbe springs???
I have tein ssp on the Celica, but i don't feel like buying coilovers for the yaris just yet, what do you guys think???

well I should have my springs by the 21 and hopefully have them on shortly after. My stupid friend who knows nothing about cars keeps saying I'm going to blow a shock and it just got me curious. I don't care about rid comfort, when I get coilovers they will be stiff as hell :D

i havent purchased them yet but i had decided to go with trd springs and struts in a couple weeks because it gives the car a perfect drop for daily driving in my opinion. i had always thought the nf210s were not low enough and the d210s were too low but the trds are right in the middle :)

keep in mind ive owned a few cars that i dumped for the hell of it over the years and i am completely over that. now its that fine line between performance and practicality for me!

I'm telling you your making a mistake if your not taking a second look at the AOE TigerTec springs. It's not a massive drop but it's big enough of one to give it a "low" look. And as far as spring rates, they are the stiffest you can get as far as I'm aware of. yet they are still very comfortable for daily driving. Lets not forget they are also one of the cheapest priced springs you can get.

In other words, you WILL NOT be disappointed with the AOE springs.
