Replacement Map Light Switch?
Seems my switch is burned out on one of the map lights. It isn't the bulb. Swapped good switch to the "bad" side and it worked.
Now I have to replace the bad switch. The little white switch is marked "MS-010A" and is Japan Miyama Miniature Pushbutton Switch MS-010A. http://www.federalcomponent.com/pdf/MS-010.pdf Does anyone know where I can source one of these, or an equivilant? Is there a Toyota part number for it? I don't want to replace the whole map light housing when only the switch is bad. |

Toyota only sells the entire fixture. Many parts like that switch are custom, making it hard to find them or an alternate. Your best bet is probably to find a replacement assembly from a junk yard.

If this helps, the map light assembly is 81260-52030-b0
Just need the little white switch though. |

I was thinking that might be my only hope. Mine was replaced by the dealer 4 years ago. Time flies! I suppose the warranty on the part is 1-year?

Anyone got a partially broken or damaged map light assembly lying around, and could extract a white switch from it? Let me know.

I had the same problem today. Toyota Canada only sells the entire assembly for $130. The manufacturer of the switch only sells in batches of 1000. So, I carefully dismantled the broken switch and re-assembled it, replaced it in the lesser-used housing, and it works! (for now)

Try electrical store. They might have it. The best way is bring the old one with you and have them match one.
