Is your Yaris engine quiet?

I own 2012 Yaris (current 11k km). From the new I hear noisy metallic tick from engine (look as valve or piston slap or ...etc.). I notice it at a warm engine (staying outside of car). I raised this problem at service but the answer is that is from injectors, and all VVt engines got it. I cant found any working (idling Yaris) to compare but my grandson bought Mazda2 . His engine is very quiet and not any metalic ticking at idlee
At forums and YouTube I found many similar entries -lot with ..as in normal and do not worry- but many... as it is Toyota engines issue. Some participants (not Yaris )fight with Toyota services by years and many complain that normal Injectors noise is a standard blame by Service. Also Toyota do not like fix it states that it not a reliability problem.
I do not know . I still got a lot of warranty -but also I worry what would be after i. In Australia service is extreme costly and also -compare to USA -our voice may be not so strong (exmp: last Toyota recall for power steering omits Australia??? ...
Have you got similar noise?
Thanks friends.

Mine makes no such noises.

It might be the valve adjustment. But ticking would indicated extra clearance which wont hurt anything. Its a tight valve that is bad.

But bring it up with the dealer about the valves. Tell them if it burns a valve THEY will pick up the tab! A CHECK is easy to do and if they adjust it, no more noise!

the 1nz engine does make a little noise which you don't hear on other brands and make you think something is wrong.

When I'm outside my car (hood is shut) it's almost silent. The only time I hear a lot of noise is when the A/C is running. I have 24,000 miles on my 2010.

A very small amount of ticking.
Pretty darn quiet for the most part.

Friends
In YouTube I found similar complain to Toyota Sienna (similar metalic tick noises). Owner several time (by years) try to tell Service that engine is faulty(valve gear) After some years won and car was fixed . I do not like to be paranoid but in my 70's -despite my technical background-I am naive person . I try to believe that is nothing -NZ engine noises or injector (why??) but also I like to be sure that I am not dupe and this problem would worse and de-surface after warranty. This is what I ask you Friends about your experience. I have not more problem with Yaris except some smell inside
