Toyota 86 TRD edition

TRD has announced its go-faster parts for the GT86.
http://www.tune86.com/toyota-86-trd-...-parts-catalog

Amongst the usual chassis bits is something called a door stabilizer.

Quote:
According to Kazuyuki Shimizu: The door of the car I'll have a gap between the door and body. The moment you operate the steering, but very few in that there is this gap, will be delayed reaction of the car body is twisted. Is set to "zero" the gap by putting a spacer-shaped "wedge" to this gap there. You can finish as "clean" the vehicle can react from the moment you operate the steering in doing so, get a quick response.
So, they found that the door mechanism has so much play in it that it affects the handling/response of the car.

Whoa.

Now that's what I call dedication.

i love how there are no prices. Yes you can do this, but we aren't going to tell you how much, just expect to need to remortgage your house.

such a great looking car! i can't get over how small it actually is - the pictures don't really give you an idea. i believe the us spec version(scion fr-s, ft-86, or whatever they're calling it today  ) is going to be approx. 13.67ft long(bumper to bumper) and shorter than an s2000(not sure that's right?)!

i couldn't find the specs on the yaris to compare it to, but i'm guessing it's about the same length as the 3-door i used to have.

i'll just have to save up for the next year and try to go for as basic a model i can get(hoping sub $25k). the trd one looks HOT, but i'll just have to get all my parts one-by-one from garm!

I'd take it if... ya know.. it was forced on me.

I guess.

I guess I'd take a Lambo too. I suppose. Only if it was forced. :O
