I'm pretty sure it does, but some modifications may be needed depending on which header you have.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

bolted up to my tanabe exhaust fine, it did not however bolt up fine to my weapon r header, requiring some hack saw trimming on the header.

It should, I got my Nitto from Malaya and he was running a DC Sports ceramic header.

dont put an exhaust on the yaris! if anything put on a nitto mid-pipe. when i had the nitto mid-pipe it actually made the car quieter and deeper. the only thing is it made it idle rough when holding the brake while in drive. this might not be a concern for standard transmission owners. the aftermarket exhausts sound kinda ricey except for maybe the vitz one and the trd ones. the nitto one i have is kinda ricey sounding, i think i'm going to add another resonator to quiet it down.

my is300 on the other hand... even with a complete straight pipe its deep! (watch in high quality)

the more muffling and baffling the better on 4cyl motors unless they're a boxer setup (check out impreza sound clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehQXURqg8vA) or they're turbo (which works as a muffler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2THJ_QYDig). Or better yet, a combo of the two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Cj1Jfq1Low

Great input with supporting clips Split. Did you try the nitto pipe with stock exhaust? If it made it quieter I'd get one before I buy an exhaust.

That is a great question - Does adding just a Nitto midpipe make the overall exhaust quieter???

Just curious if adding a nitto midpipe not only adds some performace but is quieter than stock.

Split...I dont think the Tanabe medallion sounds ricey at all. Its deep and still quiet, ive gotten lots fo compliments. Now as far as the midpipe adding power. Ive heard so many arguments on whether or not certain exhaust systems raise or decrease high mid or low range power, its just so convuluted and i wouldnt trust anyones opinion wiohtout a dyno sheet.
