My new 2012 Yaris came. Question about a part that came with it.
There is a little plastic baggie with two black, rubber covers/caps that say: "Important: to pre-delivery inspector. Insert these rubber plugs into the holes of the center floor side member extensions." I looked around to find out where these plugs would go but I can't see anything. Any ideas what these are for? Thanks.

They go underneath the car to plug the two drain holes that are left open during shipping:

Thanks! So I can crawl under the car and find these two drain holes under the center console area? Is it critical that these plugs get installed?

They should have been installed by the dealer! Part of the "dealer prep" charges they always hit you with when you buy a car. I'd have them do it at no charge.

When the plugs don't get installed you really have to wonder about how much of the "pre-delivery service" actually gets done. This is what it is supposed to consist of:

Thanks CT. Tonight, I'll try to put the plugs in myself. If I can't do it, I'll bring it to the dealer.

Wow .. that's a lot. I too would wonder whether they actually do it all.

They are easy to get in. The hard part is sticking your head under there to find the holes.

CTScott, I tried looking for the holes but cannot find them. Are they toward the front of the car (underneath where the dash is?). Thanks for the guidance!

Great, I got it! I thought there was a set for the front and the rear....I only had to plug the holes near the rear. Thanks for the help.
