Yaris 2006 Key Fob

Hi, I have a 2006 Toyota Yaris (Europe). I would like to program a spare key using the procedure in the thread below. However the sticker on my original key has worn off and I am unable to find the type of key required. I tried a key with number CE123, but this does not work.

It would be great if someone can provide me the key type for a similar Yaris.

Does your car have an OEM alarm or immobiliser?

Depending on whether it was made in Japan or France, it can be a couple of different part numbers. If you PM me the VIN of your car, I can run it through the European EPC to determine which is correct for it.

The Toyota part number for your transponder key is: 89785-60160

If you have wireless door locks, then the part number for the key with the remote is: 89070-52570

Thanks. I have wireless door locks. Is the part number usually printed on the key fob or inside?

I don't believe that you will find the full part number on or inside of it.

I was looking at buying a second hand key from ebay. What's the best way to source the correct key type?

CE123 is the battery for the fob I think. :)
