As for pricing, I think this is what everyone is going to choose:

For RPM (Sac)
Mini Outlaw Sprint Race.............................................. .......................$28.00 (Per Racer) I think it'll be best to get a membership (additional $10) as headsocks are required ($5.00), which is included in the membership. I'm also thinking that $28 is a member's price.

Each Racer will compete in the following:

* 1 ‑ 10 Lap Timed Qualifier to determine starting position for Final Race
* 1 ‑ 20 Lap Final Outlaw Race

So that's essentially two races, qualifying and racing. Membership will give discounts if we would like to come back in the future.

Driven (Fairfield)
Adult Members Specials:
3 Races for $45.00 - Saving you $15

I believe these races can be done at separate times, so if we want to race three times, we can use all up then, or save for another meet. This should also include headsocks and helmet rentals.

There is not much to do around RPM (that I know of at least), so if we want to hangout, we'd have to drive to Arden mall. Solano mall is right across Driven, so we can chill there before/after racing.

^ Thank you for the detailed pricing information...it was very helpful.
In my mind, the RPM deal sounds better, but i dont know how long each race is for Driven. RPM is 10 mins long.

How far is Arden Mall?

Depending on where people would like to go...I'm okay with either of the places.

I googled it, and found that Driven's race is usually about 4 minutes long.

A little more info:

RPM's karts are gas-powered and rated at 9hp.
Driven's karts are brushless electric motors rated at 20hp.

RPM's hot lap session is ~10 minutes or 25-30 laps. Their outlaw races is one 10 lap qualifying session and one 20 lap race, so about the same as a hot lap session.
Driven's is 17 laps that lasts 4 minutes per race. 3 races is 12 minutes total.

9HP vs. 20HP? easy question!

this meet will be the mill valley meet #2 I had been wanting to start up to get a nice bay area + nor cal mix again.

the date will be the clincher for me. I'll know more later in the year.

also, I'll definitely be wanting to go back to that bridge we saw. No way I'm driving that far north and not going to take advantage of being up there and seeing that great road again.

I might be doing something already on the 15th. Would it be possible if it were to be on the 16th?

I swung by Driven as they were closing earlier. Man, those karts are FAST! Even with the rubber laid down on the track, the (lone) racer was able to drift. Looks super fun!

I might be able to make it. They were doing a groupon at the Rohnert Park location a while back. I didn't know they had opened one up in Fairfield.

I live about 12 miles from RPM (race place motorsports) and its awesome. I race go karts, real go karts lol and this is pretty close. I would be a shoe in, I'd also be willing to show you all around the track. Oh and im not too sure on how set the date is but on monday they connect the two tracks and make it one big track. it makes it a lot more fun to have a 30 sec lap vs. a 19 sec lap.

just some food for thought.

Instant power/torque and twice as much power for the e-go-karts at Driven. The track at Driven is a nice technical track too. Looks crazy fun.
