avic d3 on the cheap

I was thinking about buying an Avic d3 for my truck and when I checked the Circuit City website they had it for $920. I checked it again today and its $799 with free installation! Plus if you sign up for the Circuit city credit card there is no interest until 2009 on purchases over $299.

I was planning on writing a check but I might as well take advantage of the no interest.

awesome find. this is UNDOUBTEDLY the best bang for the buck on in-dash navigation systems. we were gonna get the avn5510, but screw that. shit, we may switch out our nav in the van for the avic z2, but there's no override system found for that unit yet. when one is found, add a couple of headrest monitors, and we're good to go... thanks for the find again!

I should also add that you can pick it up for $699 if you feel up to installing it yourself. If it was for the Yaris I would do just that.

People have actually bought stock radios and cut the face off and figured a way to mount it over the screen. You could also use a piece of plastic and velcro it to the dash over the screen.
