was it solid or blinking?
if it was solid (not blinking) most likely your air pressure was off. If you have never checked the air in your tires I'd suggest to start doing it. |

If you want to find out what the issue is/was, you can get the TPWS to flash the light in a pattern which indicates what the trouble code is. Check out this post for instructions:

the light was solid. i checked it last night and the psi was at~23. so i bumped it up to around 31/28 and it feels a lot better now.
thanks scott that info is very helpful. its similar to reading diagnostics on my 87 mustang with the jumper method and counting blips. ill have to check it tonight to see what the code is. thanks again.

yeah if it was blinking it means lost communications..usually...it was still receiving signals from the tpms just not the correct psi.

I believe there are separate electronic control units for the engine & transmission, the ABS system, the airbags, and now for the TPMS. They're accessed separately. The code reader only gets the info from the engine control unit.
