I've schedule Bamboo to come to me for a pit stop before heading off to his next adventure!

Well hello there!



Bamboo is taking a pit stop here, hoping to hand him off to CTScott while I'm in CT next weekend.

Excellent. Since Bamboo is home (his second home, I guess ;) , what do you you guys say, should we open another thread? This one is getting pretty big. How much more posts can it take?

Darb contacted me early this week and said that he would be visiting New Haven, CT this weekend for a wedding and wanted to pass Bamboo to me during his visit. Tonight we met in New Haven for the pass.

Bamboo got a bit of Ivy League education visiting Yale University:

Then, we headed to Wooster Street, which is world famous for its Italian eateries:

We had already had dinner before meeting up with Darb, so we skipped right to desert at Libby's, where Bamboo enjoyed a cup of Espresso and some grape and banana Italian ice (and my 8 year old daughter shared a bit of her lime and cheery Italian ice with him):

Darb warned us that Bamboo was in dire need of a bath, so as soon as we got home bamboo hit the spinny bath tub. After his bath, he visited with my daughter's stuffed animal collection and tried to talk the little French bear into letting him take a spin in the Renault F1 car:

When we were at Libby's the waiter asked my daughter "What's the story with your bear who is wearing a bathrobe with lots of buttons?" She recited the Bamboo the YarisWorld Traveler story and then afterward turned to me and said "Dad, why is Bamboo wearing a bathrobe, and why doesn't he have something to show that he is from YarisWorld?" These were good questions, that we continued to debate on the drive back from New Haven to Southbury. My 12 year old daughter suggested that we make Bamboo a more appropriate outfit for his visit, so when we arrived home, the sewing machine came out and Bamboo worked feverishly to make himself a YarisWorld shirt. We were quite impressed with the results:

Woot! Now he'll be a bit easier to carry around! We'll keep the robe for while he's at home. ;)

Something tells me Bamboo is going to get a PIC augmentation too (Cyber-Bamboo)

That's what I was thinking. I didn't wash the robe, since it is so much work to remove all of the pins. So, that can travel around with him to collect the memorabilia and then he's a bit more mobile and east to clean with the T-shirt.

Today, Bamboo spent some time with Crashy. First he used the 12 ton hydraulic ram to help straighten out the A and B pillars a bit. This winter Crashy is hoping to have a windshield, so her right side needs a bit of tweaking to allow one to be mounted:

After that hard work, Bamboo insisted on taking Crashy out for a cruise:

Then, Bamboo took a ride with us over to Historic Woodbury to pick up feed for the chickens and ducks. Bamboo watches the sights as we come back into Southbury:

So, Bamboo's had a busy week. Last week my new 2011 Tacoma arrived, so he had to check it out:

He was thinking about swapping its engine into the Yaris, but then realized that the engine is bigger than the Yaris:

Last week my new project car also arrived (A 92 Toyota Celica GT convertible). Bamboo put it up on the lift to check it out and then took a good look under the hood. He decided that it needed and engine bay cleaning, so he took it out back.

Over the weekend he did an oil change on my supercharged 09 Yaris:

And, tonight he spent some time under fnkngrv's Turbo 07 Sedan, trying to figure out the issues with the Boomslang harness for the AEM F/IC, which was built wrong (MAF and Crank signal wiring is wrong):
