This is great.......I am looking forward to meeting all of you guys.....and I can speak for the Scion guys as well, they are really glad to have us along, this cruise started out as a small idea a few years back as something to kick off summer and get us out of the house........

I wont really have anything done yet for Egplant either,I got a huge stack of parts to install but nothing has 100% of the parts to install.....like the stereo, got deck, amp, wires, comps, but still gotta buy subs, and build pods and sub box......lol......my work never ends.

I will be bringing my chili to cook there and my Coleman stove so if anyone needs a stove to cook anything we got one......

See you guys there.......this is gonna be a fun day.

bzinn...my friend, I COMPLETELY understand what you're saying with "my work never ends".

It's going to take me weeks to properly stage all the speakers in this car...That's before I set and build the final enclosures. After that it's time alignment for weeks I'm sure.

I just took a preliminary trip up to Johnston ridge yesterday, it was overcast and all, but overall i was a nice drive! Cant wait to meet up with all you guys. It will be the most Yaris' i have ever seen in one place!

I havent signed up yet but ill be there.

BTW, for anyone who is interested, ill post my mpg numbers for yesterday

Interstate speeds were 65-70mph

Hillsboro, OR to Castle Rock: 47.5mpg
Castle Rock to Johnston Ridge: 37..6 mpg
Johnston Ridge to Castle Rock: 68.5 mpg
Castle Rock to Hillsboro, OR: 44 mpg (i hit rush hour traffic on my way home :( .)

overall mpg was 48.95 for the trip. Any idea what you guys will get?

well, seeing as I have a 4 hr drive just to get to the meeting location before the drive.... i'm sure I will be doing 70-75mph... thus 35mpg would be my guess, then once I get there, maybe closer to 40mpg, but even then, got to keep up with the group, I don't plan on being the last one up the hill, nor do I plan to break ranks once we have our caravan set up.

+1 on the caravan. I think seeing all of us Yarii in a line will probably be the sweetest thing ever, and make an awesome photo.

I'll have a 4.5 hour drive each way. I think last time I came in around 32-34mpg. I'm hoping for better this time. I'll have the new throttle body on and hopefully working by the cruise, dunno if that will have an effect or not.

Bump, less than a week! New TB is on and kicking ass, lighting mods done (for now) and started cleaning the car.

I'm excited to meet some people who like the same type of cars...

Can't promise as I'll have a "clean" interior. We've still got major construction going on in the sound system arena.

I moved here from Spokane in '98. I still miss the winter sunshine.

With the exception of 6 months in japan, I had lived in spokane for the first 25 years of my life. It's hard to give up a lifestyle which is so ingrained in your daily/yearly habits.... I miss sunshine, I miss the people (well, some of them) I miss the mountains all over... I'm going back next week to get married, and then at the end of the month for hoopfest... but honestly, I wish I was living there... but I'm signing papers today that will officially make me an officer for LCSO, so I'll be sticking around here for at least a few years. I do like the close proximity to the ocean!

So, who all is coming up from Portland/Eugene/Salem? I was wondering about a caravan up to the event.

OK. I am 80% sure I will be in for the meet. 5 1/2 hr drive down from Vancouver BC won't be fun cuz I have to wake up at 4AM at least...given that I will be hitting Seattle just in time for a hellish traffic jam.

Anyone who is going down from North via I-5 wanna cruise together perhaps?

God damn it's gonna be a long drive LOL....
There better be many sedans out there otherwise my car will become very lonely

I'm in Battleground. If we have a meeting point ip PDX I'll make it happen. There are plenty of points along the I-5 corridor to meet up. It WOULD be cool to take a "pre-cruise" picture at the Rose Garden...

...just planting the seed...
