Straight pipe after cat rust

my cat? its rusted inside out..its making loud tinging noise when idle or accelerate...i was going nuts...i found some shops that does full exhaust but its $700...plus gains only about 5whp...i dont want their full exhuast cause i already have an aftermarket header...

anyways i went to HKS exhaust shop...supposly they do all kinds of exhaust modifications...paid $50 and they cut off the rusted part, replaced them with matching diameter straight pipe

noise level: sound increased to slight bumble bee noise..no, its not like honda vtec on straight pipe..
performance: some are arguing how they lost power but i didnt lose any hp..20161029_142159.jpg20161029_141815.jpg

If you remove the cat computer will give engine a richer fuel mixture, will use more gas and turn check engine light on. I think you can get ox sensors that will lie to computer to keep cel off but still may run rich.
