Why doesn't your friend come to the meet, add to the attendees list?

Eeek Garm is selling it new for $100. I'll let my friend know.

He won't be here. He's currently out of the country.

Phew, thank god. Another donut for me and I may just be the next wonder of the world. ;p

I'll give him a call later today and ask if he wants to make an offer.

Same year and model as mine but black and yeah he's running stock struts and shocks on the TRD lowering springs. He's also got a TRD short shift kit, motegi Mr 125 16" rims (my old rims) TRD cat back and a home made ram air intake Lol. He claims with this mod his 0-60 times are at par with a Shelby gt500 but I think its all in his head haha :p

Lol imagine that! You would be faster than the speed of light! My bike has about 115hp at the wheels and it weighs 450 lbs. I guess that's the closest comparison. Not quite quicker than light but fast nonetheless

I'd love to get a bike, but I'd probably kill myself. And the wife and kid wouldn't like that.

Seriously though, the only issue I have with getting a (motor)bike is insurance and theft. I just have to get over that. Any advice?

Look for a sports touring bike they're cheap on insurance. I ride an 09 vfr800 looks rides and has the power of a sports bike but its called a "sports touring" and I pay $800 for the year full coverage with a $500 deductible and I'm not married and I'm 27. Married with kids and age brings insurance prices even lower.

Are you ever worried that some unmarked van will pull up one day and toss your bike in? No jinxing, this is a real concern of mine. "Downtown" Mississauga has seen a rise in such occurrences.

No, I think if you worry about things like that you can never enjoy the sport. Same applies for crashing with it.

I'm never too far from the bike when I am off it unless it is in my garage. But if it happens that's what insurance is for. And if it happens they better hope I'm not there otherwise they are in for a serious fight.

Well I might as well check out sports touring. Never really looked into it. I was searching up Ninjas and CBRs the whole time.

Back to topic. Yeah, I'll be there at 8, and with a strut brace. Wolfman, I need to see your HIDs in action.

GTA Meet

Anybody feel for a November meet? I'll be in the area the weekend of November 8th.

Nov 8th I'll be in Kitchener for a wedding reception though...

Well, every second Wednesday of the month doesn't match that, but if you say you'll be there at the Krispy Kreme at 8:00 pm whatever other day, I'll be there, too. As in, as well. As in, on top of the regularly scheduled meet.
