Gear Pops /slips/ jumps out to neutral - Page 2 - Toyota Yaris Forums

well i will never ever find tht out...as it was a recent private buy and I spotted that within couple of days after buying the car, but did not knew if it was a hole to be closed or just some pressure relieving hole. But when the gear popping problem started, I got it checked from the garage n was told gearbox fkd n need replacement I stopped using the car and wondering what to do as the replacement cost was huge. then I started the thread here, kou 's pics helped me and made my doubt clear that its the filler plug hole n must be closed. rest is history buried in this thread.

Did you change the oil in there?

If not drain the old stuff out and fill with new.

If the oil that came out is dirty/has junk in it report back here for further instructions...
