I had a 2000 Focus SE and it was a horrible car.

Not to mention the fact that the base model Focus looks 100 times better than the Saleen version.

2000 wasnt a good year....you shouldnt condemn a whole line of cars because you had 1 crappy one

Ohh is that how it works? I'll go sell the Yaris and buy 10 Focus's, maybe one of them will be good.

sorry, im just not apt to hating on everything that isnt a toyota like some of you are. almost bought an SVT way back when, but couldnt get a 5dr at the time i went to buy, so i bought a matrix xrs

dislike the car because you don't like the looks or the price tag, but don't make blanket comments about ford and their quality, especially when you don't know what youre talking about.

you know, i had the unfortunate opportunity to drive with a friend of mine to Minneapolis in a ford focus.

It was the most terrifying 7 and a half hours of my life. It was an 03 at the time, and only a couple years old (this was about 4 yrs ago). It had hardly broken 40,000 miles and it already felt like it was falling apart. A true piece of shit.

It felt as if the car was going to shake itself completely apart.

not you ryank...others made blanket statements. from what ive read about the problems 2000MY foci had, i dont doubt you didnt like it for very valid reasons.

here's what i mean:

In Ford's defense... I loved their old models? I use to drive a 76 F100 before I got the Yaris and... Well, it had 13 years on me and still ran without issue. Can't say much for the newer Fords but... I definitely trusted the older trucks.

Also.... That's such an odd looking Focus >_> My friend has the latchback and.... wow. Did not see that coming.

Ah, I see barber. I do like the SVT Focus's. Although I'd never buy one now.

ya?

im still on focusfanatics now and then and i dont recall seeing too much bad about them....

i drove one and loved it, but like i said, no 5dr's in ontario at the time i went to buy....just 3dr

i just love how tunable cars that arent toyota can be sometimes, and the focus is one of them. id love to pick up an 02+ focus hatch as a spec racer...

When I was looking at my Yaris in came between a Yaris and an '02 Focus SVT. The Focus cost about $700 ($13,000 USD) more and no warranty, etc. So thus is the story of the Yaris.
