Stupid question about installing a radio

So, I'm trying to install a radio in my new Yaris. I got the radio, got a installation kit that fits the Yaris, so far so good. I noticed that the connectors that come with the car are not compatible with my radio, so my [stupid] question is, do I actually have to cut and solder some wires or is there a simpler way? Is there any 3rd party wire harness that can connect my Yaris connector to my radio?

I just want to make sure before I start cutting...

Thanks, Florin

They should carry adaptors for toyotas at bestbuy and stuff, go to the car audio section and ask the dude there. DONT cut the wires, I didn this once and ended up getting an adapter and had to re-solder all the wires I cut..

i cut the wires in my old pathfinder, and end up paying more than the adaptor cost.

Check with SCOSCHE.com they carry nearly any wiring harness. They have smart harness that require no cutting at all, direct plug in from factory Toyota harness to whatever brand aftermarket of radio you purchased.
