steelie facelift
my steelies were looking horrible and rusty.... so two of them got a facelift today, the other two get it tomorrow

I was just thinking about this myself! Still trying to settle on a color.
That looks really nice, YAR1S. What brand/ shade is that exactly? Did you use a spray can?

I love your rack Jen!!!! (roof of course lol) Steelies look great. Did you buy your mudflaps aftermarket or did you get them with the car? Reason I ask is I just got a set in the mail and the dont fit for crap.

 Krylon white primer, Krylon Brushed Metallic - Satin Nickel, & Krylon crystal clear gloss. It's an awesome color, its not just a flat silver, its a sparkly slightly tanned silver. Its says only indoor though.... it says its supposed to fade in the sunlight but im not bothered... my brother painted his the same a month back and it still looks good, anything is better than the faded black steelie look :D

btw trying to put blue painters tape onto tires is a pain in the butt!!! :(
I guess the dirt/tire shine makes the tire almost impossible to stick anything to, I had to lightly sand the edge of the tire near the rim to get any tape to stick to it long enough to paint the wheel, FYI.

I just painted over the tires and acetone'd them off when I was done.. ;)

lololol its easy, and nobody could pay me to ride around with plastic hubcaps again. ;)
I need some actual wheels soon though, im tiring of steelies, hence the color change.

When I paint rims I use playing cards. I have a set just for that. Wedge em in between the tire and lip of the rim all the way round. Works great.
