15x8 +28 205/50 any clearance issue...
I should be fine clearing the fenders but anyone know if The tires will rub on the suspension? The car will be dropped on Tein STech. Thanks!

Tires will not rub on the suspension however it will rub on the fenders because the tein s-techs are quite soft. You would either need to stretch your tires (run a narrower profile), put in more negative camber, use stiffer springs, or increase your ride height. I used to run a 15x7 +35 and 205/50 setup with s-techs and it rubbed quite a bit.

I think you are not interpreting offset correctly. The lower the number, the more outward the wheels sit. By questioning if you will rub on suspension leads me to believe you are thinking +28 will place the wheels further inward than the stock offset of +45.

I actually have a similar question. I plan on installing Tein S Techs one day on the original struts along with the original shocks. I'm currently running a 185/60/R15 set up with original steelees. I'm expecting about a 2" drop as a result of the softer springs, so do you think I'll be running into any clearance issues? Will I have to switch to a lower profile like a 205/50/R15?

Some yaris owners runs low offsets such as +20 with 15mm spacer in the rear... 190/45/15 tires (low profile) but they also have like 3-4" drop. I figure since there will be a big gap between the tire/fender, I can cover those with a beefier tire. Apparently not. Invader, 205/50 on the same width rim is probably going to have the same height as your current tire. |

Speaking of soft TEIN s-tech suspension. This is my DD and I have a 2yo. Will the ride be bouncy that her head would be bouncing all over her seat? This is the only reason why I've been holding off on buying wheels & lowering springs.
I also have a 2007 Mazdaspeed 3. The ride is pretty stiff with my Eibach springs. Her head doesn't bounce around but it's pretty stiff. Especially noticeable when hitting dips. I'm looking for something softer than this but with 2" drop. I'm hoping s-tech is the spring I'm looking for. |

The Teins were quite comfortable if I recall. I think your 2 y/o should be fine with it. Stick with 15" wheels preferably nothing wider than 7" and a high offset (anything above +42) if you are actually going to drop it. This setup will allow you to run a higher profile tire such as a 195/55 or 185/60 series for road comfort. The offset I recommended will provide you the wheel clearance you need from the tires rubbing the fender liners / fenders if you hit a large dip or do some spirited driving with the Tein S-techs. Please keep in mind that once you get these lowering springs you should also purchase some aftermarket struts/shocks with them. Using the Tein springs with the OEM struts / shocks will lead to premature failure of the struts / shocks as they are not "stiff" enough.

I run Tein S-techs with 15x6.5" (+40) Konig wheels (I also run a 10mm rear wheel spacer). The ride is stiffer than stock, but not bad, especially compared to the rock-hard Megan Racing coilovers I used to run.
I only rub the driver's side fender liner on hard bumps. It's a very good daily-driving setup. A 15x8 +25 wheel, however, you'll probably rub a lot and would need your fenders rolled to help with clearance.

If it helps, I run 205/5015 on konig feather (15x6.5, 38mm) and at stock height only rub on hard lock when cornering HARD. And only with Nitto tires (they run shorter/wider than most). My Toyos clear no problem.
