I got 17x7 with +35mm offset or I also got the option of 16x7 with a +35mm offset. I wanna run a stretched tire but not a drastic stretch, I explained it from before so I'm just trying to figure out the right measurements.

Help me out.

Kinda hard to find tires to stretch over 17x7. You can try 195/40/17, but that won't be much of anything. You'll probably have to special order anything smaller than that. However, 1_x7, ET35 won't need a stretch as the rim will still be in the fender. Now if your offset was in the 20's, then yes, stretch will probably be a good idea on a 7j rim.

Like laz said you wont need to stretch if you're not going to poke it just looks bad if you try

8" or wider wheels with 195 or narrower tires for a stretch .

If you just want a poke look... Wheel spacer would do .

@1.5 I'm starting to get this down now. Since ai know 1.5 runs on awesome stretched tires where do you get your rims at? I look around the net as if I was looking for a gold needle in a gold plated hay stack. I know now to atleast look for an 8 in wide wheel set or more. If I can't really grasp anything then I got some 16'-17' rims that are for just short of 400$ for all four brand new.

I wanna run wider wheels and tires cause it would look alot leaner, have better road contact and the wider tire look is nice and it helps with handling a bit on too of everything and I just wanna make sure the set updoesn't eat away at my wallet causeeee I don't got deep pockets but I'm tryin to roll lean clean and mean with this Yaris. If you guys got any wide wheel resources please help me out.

Im running 195 /50's on a 8 inch wide wheel, and 195/55 on 10 inch wide wheels.

if you aren't running camber, stretching tires wont particularly decrease your tire life (much) unless you drive like a douche.

stretching is a lot harder on anything smaller than 8 inches wide, and if you wanna play serious fitment games, go 9 inch wide in the front, and 10 in the rear :D

8" isn't that wide of a tire. If you want truely recognizable fitment go 9" or more and stretch a 195/205 on it. That would look awesome, fit well, and really break some necks. You could probably avoid any camber needed as well.

Miles you are a boss. 195 on 10"! That's insane I thought only crazy miata kids ran stretch like that lol.

Hanson just Google "4x100 17" or whatever diameter you want. That will give you all the proper bolt pattern wheels you can run and you can cycle through til you are something wide enough. Do the same search via eBay.

I'm gonna go with the old school look XXR wheels at 17x9 but MY LAST question is does the wheel die out quick at that stretch rate or with it be alright for awhile? I know to avoid pot holes and all and to take it easy on the speed bumps but also do you need to space anything out for 17x9's to fit proper?

Good pick! 17x9 is perfect for the sedan

stretching shouldnt add any additional wear

Lol, Then its settled on the tire stretch. I'm going with the XXR old school look rims, either 501 throwback, the banana sport, or old school flavor. It will turn heads and its an old school feel. I'm into the old school feel. I'm gonna get these things set up sold. The only thing now I gotta figure out is offset.

Keep in mind that stretched tires will reduce the sidewalls' ability to absorb any shock. So, that will affect your suspension negatively. By how much, I have no clue, could be negligible. Also, for cheaper made rims, that'll mean there will be a higher chance of bending the rim in the event of an unavoidable pothole or debris on the road.

Yeah thats my real only concern when it comes down to it. I know its gonna need a really bad bump to give the side walls a bad day but I wanna get a minor stretch but I want wide wheels regardless. I'm gonna do some thinking and blue printing then when it comes down to it I'm gonna settle for nothing but a solid sleak set up and all hopefully before the next meet up. If not then definetly after.

Btw if any one is wondering why I'm ALWAYS online its cause I do all this stuff on my phone. Lmao It never hit me till after so if any one was wondering "How the F*$# is he always on??" thats the explanation.

I'm actually on break at work and I'm always doing my research on this shit man. I just know all this time asking questions is gonna lead to a sick set up.
