Yellow Fluid Drips

I saw some yellow fluid drips left from my car the other day after a fresh snowfall, any idea what this could be from? My coolant is red, and the brake fluid seems to be all there. The drips were not concentrated to where the car was parked, but followed the car as it drove along the driveway. I guess it could have been engine oil but I changed it months ago and I don't suspect it would still be so yellow (think brake fluid). Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks for your help,

The other fluid that is yellow when leaked is the oil in the refrigerant for the AC system.

Wow! I've seen the same thing a month ago when my driveway was still covered in fresh snow.

I guess I should be able to see the leak by following the AC lines if that was the case right?

Could be from melting ice/snow.

Cat urine would be a big patch.

I had just 4-5 drips after moving the car away to remove snow.

If it is A/C, shine a blacklight at the snow (counterfeit money detector lights work as well). If the stain glows very brightly, your A/C is for certain leaking. I'd suggest disconnecting the wiring to the compressor for the winter. This way when you repair it in the summer you'll only be repairing the leaky part, not the compressor as well.

Sometimes the moisture in the exhaust leaks out in weird colors, I've seen them leak a greenish yellow color.

By the color I would almost have to say mouse or chipmunk urine. Did you smell it?

I've got exactly the same thing. Mine is definitely not animal related as there are no tracks in the snow. Unless of course something is roosting somewhere in the under body and peeing down. My yellow splotches are much too large to be mouse.

I did not smell it, I'm sick anyways so i am unable to smell anything right now lol.

As WeeYari says, there are not paw prints anywhere, fresh snow this morning.

Can I test the AC system pressure with a tire pressure gauge?

I've shoveled my drips away, but in thinking about where they were, relative to the position of the car when parked, the drips were nowhere near any of the a/c components. More like mid to rearward section of the car, right down the center line.
