I keep forgetting which beam really gets fired by the DRLs. For ages people have mentioned the highs being the ones that the DRL module feeds. As you found out, and as I now remember looking more closely at the EWDs it is actually the low beam that it pulses.
I haven't actually tried it, but I believe that If you wanted to have your high beams be the DRLs, then you could simply cut the large blue wire in pin 1 of the DRL connector, cap off the harness side and run a wire from the connector side of the wire to the negative lead of the high beams (and have the positive lead of the high beams connected to the constant +12 V pin on the headlight connector).

Would'nt your permanent high beams be rather inconvenient to oncoming motorists who are probably going to be constantly flashing their high beams at you.?

He's talking about having the DRL module drive his high beam bulb as the DRL. It is pulsed by the module, so it runs at about 1/2 brightness.

But one last question: where is the positive lead of the high beams connector (meas what is the color of the wire) and for the constant +12 V pin headlight connector too?!? Big thx |

On the headlight connectors the black wire on the right headlight connector and the grey on the left is the positive. The headlights get a constant +12V feed and then the headlight switch switches the ground for the high or low beam filament to make one or the other light up.

Since you have two separate bulbs, instead of one bulb with two filaments, you need the leave the black and grey hooked up to the low beam bulbs, but disconnect both from the high beam bulbs.

Ok what i do its:
1-cut the blue wire from drl module 2-run a wire from the blue wire (drl module side) 3-tap in (didn't cut) the pink wire (connector headlight switch) 4-disconnect both side hi-light bulb 12v wire.....why should have needs to cut the wire who run +12v, if we needs constant +12v ?? What we gon do, Run the wire directly on the battery !??? I've doing that last time, except with the numb 4, and its work but the hi-light blinking as hell when i drop off the hand brake loll! What can i do now ? Big thx for helping |

Are the high beams on your headlights HID's or are they regular bulbs?
