Parked next to a Lotus Elise today

A coworker of mine own a Lotus Elise, and I could not help but take a few pics with my camera phone when I parked next to it It's so freaking small, you can't see it behind my Yaris in the first shot lol

Hahahahaha! That's ironic, I took these pics back in September...

It's also a car at work, although I don't know who owns it.

And the blue Mustang in the first pic is parked in my usual parking spot, which is marked 'compact car'

Cheers! M2

I'm not a fan of the Elise... seems like a case of "trying too hard". I preferred the simpler lines of other Lotuses like the Esprit.

nah the Esprit is too dated looking... the Elise looks mean to me, like its fun as hell to drive, being so small...

I don't have a picture of it, but there's a guy at work who owns both a Yaris and a Exige, which is pretty cool. The Exige seems like it's waist high. Even the regular Elise looks only as high as the mirrors on the Yaris.

I agree that the earlier Esprits (both non-turbo Giugiaro and Stevens designs) were "cleaner" looking than the Elise. Lots of gills 'n grills on the little Lotus.

Based on my experience, the Elise is very well built by Lotus standards. The Esprit? Not so much...
