I love my Konig LAce with the black lip and machined face. My husband didn't like the crown logo, so I sanded it flat and got custom decals made for the center caps that say TOYOTA in green. I'll try to snag a pic soon.

Have you looked through the Official Black Thread?
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27 If not, start at the last page and work backwards. Less deleted photos that way. There are actually a couple Yari pictured sporting the Rotas.

thanks very useful thread. giving me some good ideas.
gammo, in your yaris stanced thread how are you lowered in the first pic? im trying to figure out if 15x7s with 175/55r15 will look ok on my micro image springs or im im going to have super wheel gap. i dont want to be super flush since i like my handling but i want the stance to be subtle. mild stretch. decent offset. mild camber. |

175s would not be a 'mild stretch' on 15x7s. Better off with 185s.

Here are some points that you may or may not be aware of, especially since you seem to be leaning toward a +20 offset:
- the front track is wider than the rear. Since the fronts will poke a little bit, you need to use spacers in the rear to balance out the look - for some reason, on these cars, the rear axle beam sits to the right of center by about 10mm. To keep things even, you need to space out the left wheel 10mm more than the right. I had been running a setup with an effective offset of +32 and rubbed like a bitch on rear right. Removed a 10mm spacer from rear right and all was equal.

In the first pic I was lowered on Eibach Pro Kit (25mm)... If you go with 175 on 15x7 you'll get quite some wheelgap... Just as WeeYari says, go with 15x7 with 185 tires just like mine... you can get a nice stance and a nice filled up too because of the 'not so stretched' tire.
If you don't really want to lower it that much, I suggest you go with 16x7 and 185 tires... I think that'll suites you best in my opinion.

yeah thats what im thinkin. i really do want to make 15s work though, the lightness and cheaper tires is so appealing, i just dont think im quite low enough to pull it off :/

well 25mm is about an inch and my springs lowerer me 1.7. considering that you have a 45 seies tire and id do a 55, also with me doing a milder 185 stretch, shouldnt my gap be considerably less than yours was? i dont want to me super flush like i said anyway. im just trying to figure out what it would look like.

dont EVER cut your springs... if you really wanna get lower and get good handling... take coilovers. I have BC racing coilovers and they're awesome... even on stiffest setting they're still quite comfortable. And indeed... 15'' tires are cheap :) I'm quite lucky with that because I like riding slammed... Or you need to get a fatter tire... like 185/50 or 185/55, but it kills the look / show of your car in my opinion.

ok ok. not too worried about the "show" always function over form, most of these mods are coming from performance gains actually, ill have a lower final drive ratio, some camber helps cornering, lower unsprung weight, and wider track. i figured i could do this all in a way thatll give me a mild stance look, which will be nice. also, im going to school to be an auto tech, so you can imagine how my buds would be laughing at me if i rolled up in a "herrfrush" ride lol
