Cost to install lowering springs?
I'm not all that mechanical so I was wondering if you guys could ballpark me a figure $$$ to expect to pay for an install?

I'd say a couple hundred dollars with alignment, maybe a bit more. That is assuming you have a trusted local mechanic to use. At the dealer, god only knows what they'd charge you.
If you get springs and struts I bet it would cost less, since it's a straight swap. The mechanic wouldn't have to remove your stock springs from the struts and then put the new ones on. |

You really don't need to be very mechanically inclined for a spring install. I'd suggest doing it yourself.

Hah, I was quoted no less than $600 around where I live. I said to hell with this and did it myself. Prior to this, the only mechanical experience I've had was installing new headers in a buddy's 240sx. Find a good DIY thread on here. It'll show you what to do. You only need a few tools and about four hours. Good luck!

A good shop with all the good tools would be 1 to 1.5 hours of labor they were reusing the struts. Depending on where you go you’re looking at other fees for you bringing parts. Some will quote you an extra hour of work incase there are problems and then charge anyways when they only need 5 minutes of it.
If you know someone with some air tools and can get there help rent a spring compressor and a 12 pack and will be done in 4 hours. Just make sure you check everything the next day and retighten it all after 500 miles.
