Exclamation I want to see the most AERODYNAMIC Yaris --- Photoshop!

Photoshop me the most aerodynamic Yaris!

Lowered, kammback'd, boattailed, moon disc'd, rear wheel skirts, anything...

I would LOVE to see how far a Yaris can go and still look "good". I am sure a Yaris could hit at least 60mpg with some good aero mods... maybe more

I could do 70mpg if I was allowed to go 30-35mph without stopping. No mods needed :)

I think the best thing you could do.... for the HB at least is to give it a tail so to speak... like a cone shaped tail... the HB has sooo much drag at highway speeds.

^The HB has a lot of drag? Where have you gotten this information? Could I see the article because I'm very interested.

look at the shape.... look at how easily the rear window gets covered in water when the road is wet... thats due to the way the car is shaped, which causes a low pressure area right behind it which is significantly bigger than the low pressure area created by the sedan.

the sedan has much better drag characteristics.

Also... if you hook up a scanguage to the HB you'll notice that anything above 50mph and your mpg's drops like a rock.... yes there is also the factor of friction with higher rpm's...however, friction isn't the only force causing mpg's to decrease so quickly at highway speeds.

Alright, as the OP, i guess I have to go first

This is my take on probably the most aero you could make a yaris... while still making it look good. I dont know about the kammback design though, I bet someone could make it look even "cooler" -looking and extend it a bit more...

Someone post a pic of the sedan, that is about as clean aerodynamically as most cars, including modified 3-doors. If this thing has a C/D of .29, I am very happy, and not in the least surprised.

Now, THAT is interesting, somehow seems wrong to me. Now it gets into having a wind tunnel to see where the different airflows go. Where did your C/D information come from, out of curiosity?
