Rubbing Issues

Now I see plenty of complaints of rubbing and not rubbing. I'd like to find out if you were rubbing; where you were rubbing, what condition the roads are in where you live, what size wheel and tire you have, and also what suspension you are on and how low your drop is:

rubbing? - yes or no
where? - inside fender or on the lip
conditions of the roads? - smooth, full of bumps and potholes, in-between
wheel size? - ex: 15x7 +35 offset
tire size? - ex: 205/60
suspension? - trd struts & trd springs
drop? - 2"

It just seems like there is no clear answer and when it comes down to it, not everyone runs the same setup in the same conditions.

This is a great idea.

but with all due respect, there is no way you got a 2" drop from TRD springs.

Where? - both rears, tires rubbing against the upper area of the wheel well
conditions of the roads? - bumps here and there but nothing serious
wheel size - 17x7 with 40 offset
tire size - 215-40-17
suspension - 1.5" drop front + rear from spirit lowering springs and OEM shocks

experiencing lots of rubbing since I went from 205-40-17 tires to 215s

and on top of that, the oem shocks have become extremely bouncy, making things worse.

my car is going into a shop to install the tokico shocks this week.

Wink

where? - lip (rear only)
conditions of the roads? - in-between
wheel size? - 16x7 + 37mm offset
tire size? - 195/50/16
suspension? - NF210 + 10mm rear spacers
drop? - 1.1" front 1.5 rear (guessing)

No more rubbing using spring stabilizers

This picture is BEFORE fix.

These pictures are AFTER fix.

Should we include setups that aren't rubbing as well? Or should that be a seperate thread?

whatever you want, I figure this will be helpful for everyone. I edited it, so include if you are rubbing or not. Garm, for all you know there is someone who bought TRD springs and cut them, lol.
