will a prisus fuel pump work in a yaris

If I had to guess I would say yes, but the part number is different. If you look at pictures of Prius fuel senders on eBay they look pretty much identical to the Yaris.

you may want to check if there such thing as fuel flow rate or something that is specific to the prius pump? or if the ECU will control this?

Thanks I will look into it. If it does work.ill be saving over 500 plus labor. Oreilly auto parts wants 600 for a fuel pump. Dealer wants 350. Only in california you can get fucked like this.

I actually have a perfect Yaris one that I purchased to do some bench pressure testing of the fuel pressure regulator. If you are interested I would sell it for $100 shipped.

this may not add to the discussion at all, but in my opinion you may want to get the Yaris specific one. there may be a reason why prius pump and the yaris pump do not share the same number. you may experience some problem and lots of headaches troubleshooting the issue. for example, i recently replaced my charcoal canister for $70 (dealer price $700) with used 2010 Scion xD charcoal canister. The canister for the two cars are identical and for a reason. It was a DIRECT fit. If you are familiar with Toyota cars, Yaris and Scion xD share same frame and many parts (e.g. a brother of our car). The part number of the canister for both cars are the same and it makes sense as Toyota doesnt care if you are buying it for Scion xD or your Yaris. They still make money. If you are tight on the budget, I would definitely take the yaris fuel pump off CTScott and save yourself worries/problems in the long run.

If you don't mind me asking what was your reason to test the regulator? And yes I would.like to buy the pump. If you can give me a couple weeks mobey is real tight at the moment._

I was doing experiments with measuring the fuel flow and pressure regulation in regards to the need to upgrade the fuel system for supercharged or turbo Yaris.

I measured the stock flow rate and then modified a pressure regulator to increase the fuel pressure by 8 PSI and measured the effects on flow rate.

No problem on waiting - It's just sitting on a shelf in my office.
