Cool Correct Bolt lenght for Megan Racing Stainless Header

This is for anybody who is planning to purchase a Megan Racing Stainless Steel Exhaust header for there 1.5L Yaris hatchback. The factory bolts are to short. The correct bolt lenght you will need is 8mm x 1.25 x 30mm. These correct lenght bolts can be found at Mr. Gasket, exhaust header bolts PN: 979G or 8 Stage Racing 12 point stainless header bolts PN: STG-8900B.

Check the thread grip on 2 nuts at the studs. No threads exposed past the nut and the 3 bolts that thread into the engine head. You maybe have 1 1/2 threads of grip into the head. I you don't believe this, measure the thickness in mm of the head plate plus the gasket. This measurement is 18mm thick. Now measure the stock bolt grip from the washer to the end of the bolt. This measurement is 20mm. That leaves only 2mm's left or about 1 1/2 threads of grip. You are lucky that you have not had any problems on the installs you have done. If anybody decides to replace the studs with the correct lenght hardware. You will need a TORX E7 External socket for easy removal.
