Help with oil viscosity (engine and gearbox) yaris 1.3L, and service manual!

Hi, would really appreciate your help, already searched the web and the forum with no luck.

need to know viscosity recommended for 2nz-fe engine, it's a 1.3L and has around 27,000 Miles on it (44,000 kilometers), compression test showed 175-170-170-165 psi but the oil needs to be changed and spark plugs looked pretty old too.

weather in my country is about 13-26 degrees Celsius.

when is the gearbox oil changed recommended? should I get 100% syntethic 75w90 motul?

and for the engine, found a service manual for a 1.5L and recommended 5w30 to improve fuel economy, I plan to go motul or mobil 1 100% synthethic (wich one? should I go semi-synthetic?)

should I go 5w30, 5w40, 10w30 or 10w40?

couldn't find the service manual online, anyone has it?

how often are the belts changed? and timing chane?

thanks a lot for the replies :P

Hi

I use 5W40 Genuine Toyota oil on my 1,3 87hp. Toyota Yaris. You can also use 5W30 and I would use full synthetic oil.
For the transmission I would use the Castrol Hypoy, but I donīt know when you should change the oil on that. In Europe we change oil on a Toyota engine every 15.000.km. or one year.

Regards Steven.

toyo - I'd use a lower viscosity in colder weather. If you only change oil (synthetic) once a year, your best bet is going with 5W30 as it will help with cold starts. If you want additional fuel economy stay away from the heavier weight oils such as 10W40. You could get away with a 0W30 which will aid in faster starts at sub-zero temps than even 5W30. You can use 10W30 in warmer weather, but for best economy your better off sticking with a 5W30 brand. Refer to your owners manual for recommended grades and change intervals. If you don't know if the car has synthetic oil in it, I wouldn't drive it more than 5,000miles or 8,000kms without changing it out. Synthetics, depending on brand can allow you to go up to 25,000miles. Also, synthetics don't break down like regular oil does, they just get dirty which causes them to wear out.

thanks a lot for the replies guys

I almost bought 10w30 fully syntethic mobil 1 today, since itīs summer time and temperatures should be around 30 degrees for the next couple of months, but Iīm trying to find 5w30 (hopefully).

I donīt have the owners manual :( and iīm willing to change oil every 5000 kilometers, since the driving would be pretty stop and go ish lol, city driving mostly.

I am also going to get the spark plugs from the dealer, do I put them in just like that or do they need to be "calibrated" (I believe thatīs the term)?
