2ZR-FE mods

Hi all,

I bought my Yaris 1.8 SR in December (photos below), and I am loving it. However I want to increase performance.

What mods should I be looking at?

What is the best induction kit for the 2ZR-FE engine?

There isn't many mods in the UK for this engine, do you guys know where to look for the mods? ;D

I have a question about the stock exhaust, why does it go so quiet after 4000rpm? I want it to sound louder, is there anything I can do?

Anyway to photos!

Is there any UK 1.8 owners that want to meet up? Would be nice to talk about our cars.

hmm..i don't know which is the best intake, but you can choose between k&n (http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-8615TS), a fujita intake for our engine and from AFE (looks like the k&n system);which one of these i don't know.maybe there are some mates on the forum who have one of these installed on their car; with the exhaust REMUS has 2 models for our car (http://www.remus.at/php/index.php?cm...ductMotor=2764) and Sebring also (http://produkt.sebring.at/php/index....Motor=167391); and i think you can find exhaust from TRD japan (i think there is a model for our car- VITS RS is our Yaris TS in japan but not the same engine).also you can buy from NST the pulley and short shift...or you can install the compressor from Benami in Switzerland ~9000E :))))))...for the moment i don't know if there is a TS with turbo or some ECU tuning, piggybag.there was a project for manifold, but i don't know news in this moment..maybe it's ended..i don't know
i think with a good intake system, with a good exhaust (complete, take out one of the cat) and the pulley from NST you can obtain over 20HP..

hey bro ! congrats on the car , the best p[lace to start is a cat back custom exhaust setup , it makes a great difference to the bottom end power and gives a great sound.

the K&N induction seems to be the better one at the moment , after that lightened crank pulley and you well on your way to a fun car to drive.

hey bro

well , i got a custom 57mm pipe from my OEM middle box runing to the back with a megan racing rear jap style box , made a awesome difference with pull away / acceleration , i also got a K&N drop in filter ,but i am soon changing to the short ram setup and c-one motorsport crank pulley :-)

no prob bro , my pleasure , not really , once the rear box burns it , it levels out on sound , in the begining it was quite hectic , but now its nice a smooth.

Nice car, I have an identical Yaris :D if you get a cat back, can you still pass the emissions test on an MOT?

Also, what % tint do you have? I want to get mine done too.

Thanks mate, I believe they have 2 cats? So that shouldn't be a problem.

I have no idea, MrT told me it was factory tints!

Have you done any mods to yours?

We need to get a mk2 meet together!
