Yaris makes the Forbes top 10 most reliable used car list
Of course, we all already knew this, but Forbes named Yaris in the top 10 most reliable used cars:

Recognition of the Yaris such as this are common. I wonder if the drones at Consumer Reports still have some issues with the Yaris...

Mine too.. 2 years of monthly autocrossing, first autocross only 200 miles one odometer. Also a couple track events. Still purrs like day one, just purrs louder now with the upgrades.

A list that isn't CR list will make the top instead of the bottom. It's great my wife has the 2008 Cr-V. Only 25,000 on it.

Love the poster on the yahoo site that said the Yaris was the biggest POS that Toyota ever made. They were obviously not a Toyota fan to begin with, so I wonder what they based that opinion on.....

All one would need to do is visit this forum and ask us owners how reliable they are. Really mechanically I haven't had ANY issues. Only issues have been from others messing with my ride (people who've plowed into me, crappy repair shops, careless people next to me in parking lots).

I am automotive painter for a medium sized collision/repair/sales facility. We Sell only used Toyotas and have a couple techs who used to work for Toyota dealerships. Out of all the recent models Toyota offers, the Yaris is by far the least common car to see back in our shops for any mechanical issues. They just don't break down! People crashing them however seems to be on par with all the other models

i don't recall that CR's problems with the Yaris had anything to do with the car's reliability. In fact, the yearly used car round-ups always rank the Yaris very high in that category.

Can only relate my own experiences and my daughters
My daughter has a 2006 Yaris (2DR LB) and I loved the look and driving characteristics so much I bought a 2009 4 DR LB.
Her cars is well over 100K miles and mine is at 85kmiles. She had her water pump replaced and I have never had mine in the shop. Except for tires and oil, there has been no work done on them. If mine was wrecked tomorrow, I would buy a 2012 in a heartbeat!
