Flowering Cactus

This cactus in my garden only blooms once a year and only at night. Should be several more this weekend. Really pretty flowers about 6" in diameter.

Looks good! I like plants and a nice yard, but would rather die than go out there and do any yard work myself as an adult. That's all I did as a kid (thanks dad), and was always completely miserable thanks to pollen, grass, etc. allergies. I prefer to stay indoors as much as possible now, in my climate/air controlled bubble, as disconnected from nature as possible. Nature looks great in the pics, but after spending a big chunk of my life outdoors, hiking, camping, swimming, cycling, traveling to many different countries, etc., I just don't want to do it any more. Give me good book or PC game instead.

Ha, I stole the line from Dave Chappelle's stoner cult-classic, Half-Baked. I Googled it and a pic of the character he plays that said it showed up in the results, too

Older cats still say, reefer. Younger cats say, kush (not realizing that kush is an actual strain of cannabis, not a generic term for it). Flower is a contemporary term for it, but I like it; it's accurate.

Dudes from my era just say bud.
